Photos and highlights from the 2013 Arizona Chapter American Public Works Association (AzAPWA) Statewide Conference.
Achen-Gardner Construction attended the 2013 AzAPWA Statewide Conference which was held at the Hotel El Conquistador in Tucson, Arizona on August 4-6. The three-day event featured 57 speakers, 54 vendors, and was attended by more than 450 people. During the conference, Achen-Gardner and members of the Centennial Way Federal Aid Transportation Enhancement project team accepted the Public Works Project of the Year Award in the Transportation ($5 million - $25 million) Category.
Achen-Gardner also hosted a demonstration of our trenchless Ultraviolet Light Cured-In-Place Pipe (UV CIPP) rehabilitation technology. More than 100 people attended the demonstration. Congratulations to Mark Baird, Civil Engineering Assistant for the Pima County Department of Transportation, for dropping his business card into a bowl and winning a $100 Visa gift card. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our UV CIPP demonstration to chat with us and pick up some useful Achen-Gardner swag.
